ECLECTIC MELANGE was born from the idea of following ones dream.  I left "Corporate America" armed with a love of vintage costume jewelry and a need to nurture my creativity.  I started collecting vintage costume jewelry several years ago and during many of my "digs", would find bags or boxes of broken and discarded jewelry along with other items.   My "creative juices" kicked into high gear and I segued into creating one-of-a-kind pieces.  Whether it be a chandelier crystal, an odd earring, or broken necklaces, I enjoy the challenge of turning those items into a wonderful piece of jewelry.

When I am creating, there are no rules applied.  No thought of the latest trend or season.  I craft what I consider to be timeless classics that can be worn for years to come.  Much like the vintage jewelry by which I am inspired.   While I use mainly vintage components, I have a particular fondness for semi-precious stones, acrylic and lucite. You will  find some some of those things incorporated into my pieces.   Once I have a concept in mind, it sometimes takes months to gather all of the components needed to bring it to fruition.  That is part of the challenge, as Each piece is truly a labor of love.
